Book of Psalms with the Tefillah L'Moshe commentary by the author of Yismach Moshe of Sighet. First edition. Krakow, 1880. With the rare 8 leaves of subscribers, and with ma'amadot. Personal copy of the gaon Rabbi Binyamin Mendelsohn, Av Beit Din of Kommemiyut.Rabbi Binyamin Mendelsohn's owner's stamp appears at the end of the Tehillim: "Binyamin Mendelsohn, rabbi in Kfar Atta, near Haifa." There are also several kvittlach on the flyleaf at the end of the book, "Moshe Yosef ben Breindel, Rivkah bat Sarah Feigel, Shraga ben Raizel."Rabbi Binyamin Mendelsohn [1904-1979], Av Beit Din of Kommemiyut, was born to his father Rabbi Menachem Mendel Mendelsohn, a rabbi of Plotzk, Poland; who was a Alexander Chassid. He ascended to the Land of Israel in 1934, under the influence of the Imrei Emet of Gur. He was appointed rabbi of Kfar Atta and then as rabbi of the Chareidi settlement Kommemiyut. He was very active in shemittah observance. His name is associated with the Yossele Schumacher kidnapping affair. He was much appreciated by the Chazon Ish and the Admo"r of Belz, who was also his in-law.14-322; [8], 26 leaves. 21 cm.Moderate condition. The title page and the first leaves are lacking (the book starts in the middle of psalm 5, but many of the missing leaves [except for the title page] are found amongst the book's leaves, most torn into several pieces). Brittle paper, Without a binding.
