SLOVAKIAN MIXED MEDIA PAINTING BY RUDOLF KRIVOS
A Slovakian, Rudolf Krivos, 1933 to 2020, mixed media painting on a board, dated 2009. The painting, titled Prorok XVI, depicts a male portrait in vivid colors. Signed and dated lower right. Framed. The painting has a sticker on the back side. The artworks of Rudolf Krivos were primarily aimed at finding and establishing a persons identity. Since 1961, he has experimented with a plaster base for the relief transfer of figures and semi figures, since 1962, he has used combinations of techniques on solid stone, as well as techniques with collage. The color scheme of his paintings takes only a few tones of dark colors, but by combining unconventional materials and technological techniques, he used collage, nitrolaks, applying sand to a colored substance, and layering glazes.
