ABSTRACT RUSSIAN OIL PAINTING BY LYDIYA MASTERKOVA
Lidiya Masterkova, Russian Soviet, 1927 to 2008, oil painting on plywood depicting an Abstract Expressionist composition, 1965. Signed and dated 65 lower right. Additionally inscribed, L. Masterkova, Sevvodstroy settlement, and dated 1966, on the backside. Provenance: from W. Belitz Heimann in the early 1990s from the studio of the artist Vladimir Nemukhin in Moscow, USSR. Completed with a printed letter, signed by S. maleeva Snezhkina, inscribed Berlin, and dated 02 18 2025. Lidiya Masterkova is known for Abstract oil and watercolor painting, ink collage, mixed media, fabric art. Lidia Alekseevna Masterkova, a Russian nonconformist artist from the Lianozovo circle. She was one of the first to turn to metaphysical abstraction. Masterkova endows geometric figures with sacred meaning, uses the circle motif, and creates three dimensional textures. After emigrating to France in 1975, monochrome color prevails in his work. Russian Soviet Era Abstract Expressionist Oil Paintings, Wall Art, Home Decor, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.
